This is a public photography project that explores the concept of "failed images." The project was inspired by a mundane moment when the artist took a quick photo of the street while eating wontons at a roadside restaurant. The artist questioned whether this photo was a failure, and if so, how to define a failed image. The project invites the public to submit their own "failed images" for online exhibition. The artist also publishes a yearbook of the project every other year. The project rejects professional guidance, the production of "high-quality" photos, intellectual depth, and the provision of "beauty" for others. It aims to awaken the public's pursuit of original meaning and poetry, just like the ugly and romantic Pan.
